Tim
hails from Suffolk originally but has lived in Aberdeen for the past
eight years. Bassoon is not Tim’s
only musical talent. He regularly accompanies on piano at the North
East Scotland School of Music. The rest of the time he can be found
in the English department at the University of Aberdeen where he is
a teaching fellow.
Jennifer
completed a degree in Chemistry at the University of Aberdeen in 2002
but went back for more in 2003 and since then has been studying for
her PhD. Not content with playing clarinet, she has recently taken up
piano under the instruction of our very own Miss Debbie Haig.
Our
oboist, Debbie, has previously studied at the Royal Northern College
of Music but has more recently completed a degree in Pharmacology at
the University of Aberdeen. September will see her take up a full time
position as an instrumental instructor with Aberdeen City Council.
Our
flautist Kay is the baby of the group and is due to begin studies in
Psychology at the University of Aberdeen in September. Her final year
at school ended on a high note when she was awarded the title of ‘Cults
Academy Musician of the Year’.
Currently
in her third year of a music degree at the University of Aberdeen, Joanne
also teaches part-time at the Music Zone in Stonehaven. Our super saxophonist
is also a blinding bassoon player.
